Hey Guys,

One thing I noticed when I played in Perth (great day BTW) recently was that the Perth guys CHOSE whether you went first or second if they won the dice roll. In Sydney we've played it that whoever won the roll HAD to play first. I thought it was based on a ruling, and a quick consultation of the rules document only comes up with this

Determine randomly who goes first. Draw seven cards from your deck to form your
opening hand.

So in the interests of keeping things consistant, which way are we going to play this? I'd like to inform the goobers on Sunday if we're going to change the way its done locally

Cheers

Honest

Didn't they stop you choosing to go second if you won the toss because of Historical Research ???

I've just spent the last hour scouring all the places I'd normally expect to find the ruling, however I cannot find where it says "randomly select someone to choose".

The way you play it in Sydney seems to be correct.

We originally played it like that too, but for some reason that changed. I'm thinking Robert would know why too, as I have a feeling he was involved in the change. I will ask him and others and see if this was changed. I will get back to you shortly.
